Farmlands Fertiliser

A white-label fertiliser for lifestyle blocks, sold through the stores that already serve them.

Farmlands already has the stores, the accounts and the trust of every lifestyle block in the country, so why is the fertiliser on the shelf somebody else’s brand?

goods · White-label fertiliser · Farmlands store footprint · Concept

Farmlands needs to develop a fertiliser brand. I want to believe the market for lifestyle block fertiliser can be better served through a white-label brand distributed through their own store footprint.

The advantage is not the product. It is that the store is already there, the account is already open, and the person who owns a few hectares outside town already drives to it. What is missing is a bag on that shelf made for exactly them, with the store’s name on it.

Problem

How might we make the fertiliser a lifestyle block actually needs, and put it in the one store its owner already visits?

Purpose

Core idea

Farmlands has the stores, the accounts and the trust of nearly every lifestyle block in the country. The fertiliser on its shelves is somebody else’s brand. A white label made for that customer, and sold only through that footprint, would let the retailer own the product it already sells.
