Flatting in New Zealand means splitting rent, power, internet, and groceries between 3–6 people. Everyone uses a different bank. Nobody wants to be the one who chases payments. The spreadsheet gets abandoned within a month.

Houseparty connects to your bank via Akahu (NZ open banking) and watches for rent and bill payments automatically. It knows who’s paid, who hasn’t, and what the shortfall is. No manual entry. No awkward conversations.

The rent vertical is the starting point: bond tracking, rent payment confirmation, landlord receipts. Bills, groceries, and shared expenses come next.
