There are tens of thousands of disabled people in New Zealand who want to get out of the house. The support workers exist. The outings exist. But the logistics of connecting them is broken—it’s phone calls, paper forms, and word of mouth.

Homerun is a marketplace for supported outings. Support workers list experiences they can facilitate—beach trips, museum visits, cooking classes, sports events. Participants (or their families and support coordinators) browse, book, and pay.

The platform handles scheduling, accessibility requirements, funding integration (NDIS-equivalent for NZ), and post-outing reporting. A mobile app (Expo) lets support workers manage their day on the go.

This project was born from the essay Loneliness is a Logistics Problem.
