Peachy is a website for a NZ real fruit ice cream business — the kind of place that’s been quietly doing the same thing well for decades, serving scoops that taste like the actual fruit rather than a laboratory approximation of it. The brief was to give a beloved local business a web presence that matched the quality of what they serve.

The design approach took its cues from the product: warm, generous, unpretentious. The palette runs through peach and cream. The photography does the heavy lifting. The copy is short and honest because the product doesn’t need selling in the conventional sense — it just needs to be found and trusted. The site is a marketing surface, not a transaction engine, so there’s no cart, no checkout, no account creation.

Built in React and Vite, the site is a complete static build. “Complete” for a static marketing site means everything is there: menu pages, location and hours, brand story, and a contact form. No backend, no CMS, no moving parts. It deploys as a flat file bundle and serves instantly from anywhere. That simplicity is a feature, not a limitation — it means zero maintenance overhead for a business that doesn’t have an in-house tech team.
