Pawtions is a dog food brand with a clear point of view: real ingredients, honest labelling, no filler. The pet food market is full of brands that hide poor ingredients behind friendly packaging. Pawtions is the opposite — the brand is built on transparency, and the product reflects it. What’s in the bowl is what it says on the bag.
The website is built in Astro 5 with React islands for the interactive elements. It’s near production-ready from a code and design perspective — the product pages, ingredient breakdowns, and brand story are all there. What’s missing is the supplier relationship: a consistent, quality source for the ingredients at the scale needed to launch properly.
This project is a showcase of brand identity work as much as it is a code project. The design system, the tone of voice, the product positioning, the packaging concepts — all of it was worked through before a line of code was written. Building the site in Astro kept it fast and content-driven without the overhead of a full framework. React islands handle the bits that need interactivity — a product configurator, a store finder — without compromising the static-first architecture.
The project is waiting on the supply side. When that’s resolved, the site is ready to go.
